The Aleph L works as a passive until you hit the 3:00 mark, then becomes active. Best of both worlds, IMO: purity and transparency of a passive but with active oomph if you need it. This is the 1.2, the last version of the pre, works perfectly, and is in very good condition. Some light marks, mostly on top near front. A conservative 7/10, but you don't see any of the marks until you're close up. Weighs 26 lbs., your proverbial Pass tank build.
