There is this little site for sci-fi, pop culture and all things geeky called Think Geek. In one of there recent emails I spotted these:

Great idea for a product! and cheep too. I know this DIY move has been mentioned many times and now no need for black electrical tape or whatever else will not fit right...

Pick yourself up a Big Bang Theory T-shirt or a gadget for your work desk or something while you're at it!

 Enjoy

Excellent, just what the doctor [should have] ordered!  A great solution to the designers and manufacturers of evil LASIK-enabled blue LED adorned equipment.

LOL, that's great. Who woulda thought that could be a product. I have only one LED that's too bright, but it sticks out a bit from the panel (old style LED). So I covered it with a small dot of masking tape. That took me two minutes to do, versus 5-10 minutes to order this product online plus the $5.

It just depends on the aesthetic you're looking for.  With an otherwise beautiful front panel, some don't want a piece of masking or electrical tape.  Having a perfectly die-cut overlay with optimum light attenuation and no adhesive residue is a good option.

On the other hand, tape certainly won't bother the people who would be perfectly content with this:

That's an awesome product!  :thumb:

Having enough equipment to power a home theater and a two channel rig can be a bit of a distraction.
I've learned that clear "scotch" tape, with a bit of black Sharpie can blot out most LEDs, but taping up my equipment is a rather rookie looking thing to do. Especially when there are pieces of equipment like a Behringer DCX. There are enough blinking lights to land a small aircraft on that damn thing.

Good stuff, thanks J,
