ELECTROCOMPANIET ECD1 24 BIT 192 KHZ UPSAMPLING DAC - (SOLD)

I am continuing to clean out some equipment, so I have this highly regarded DAC for sale.

The ECD1 is a 24Bit 192KHz upsampling DAC accepting 16-24Bit 32-96 kHz input and upsampling it to 24Bit 192KHz resolution.

All analog circuitry is fully balanced and symmetrical.

The digital and analog circuitry used in the ECD1 is the same as what they use in their flagship CD player, the EMC1 UP.

Digital inputs: XLR-AES/EBU, RCA, OPTICAL TOSLINK

Digital outputs: RCA, OPTICAL TOSLINK

Analog outputs: XLR, RCA

Additional specs can be found on the Electrocompaniet website.

Functionally this unit is in excellent shape, although I have not used all of the inputs.

Physically this unit is also very nice.  There are only a couple of small mars on the glass front and top that can only be seen by close inspection, but they are mentioned in the spirit of full disclosure.

As can be seen from the photos, I still have it set up in my system in the event anyone would like a local demo.

Original MSRP on this was on the order of $2000.  I believe my asking price is at the bottom end of Blue Book value.  I may, however, be a bit flexible on price for a local deal.

I may consider a bit of trade value, although I really do not have much in the way of needs at this moment (possibly speaker cable or vacuum tubes).

I have an electronic copy of the manual that I can provide (also available on the Electrocompaniet website), but NO other accessories are included (you will need to supply your own power cord).

I can provide additional pictures or info on request.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note that this unit is being sold ‘AS IS’.

The unit is available for local demo, which I would recommend if you are in my area (Chadds Ford, PA).

Payment can be via money order/cashier’s check/personal check preferred but, except for US Postal Money Orders, all must clear my bank first.  Cash is OK for a local transaction.

I also accept Paypal for convenience (add 3% to for USA, and 4% for Canada).  IF YOU PAY VIA PAYPAL, HOWEVER, A CONDITION OF YOUR PAYMENT IS THAT YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO FILE A PAYPAL CLAIM OR CHARGE BACK (but do retain the right to sue me in court should you so desire).

I will consider shipping within the USA and Canada.  In any case, the buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.  I will securely pack, and shipping weight should be on the order of 20-25 lbs. In the USA, I would prefer to ship via FedEx ground.

Please check my feedback on Audiogon, Videogon and Ebay (ID=baileyler) and buy with confidence.
