I thought this whole thread was some sort of put-on till I looked at them. I am aware of the main systems most of you are running and some of you have dust caps that cost more than $40..

 So from that perspective: decent looking cabinet build, bracing, polyfill, respectable looking crossover parts... $40 complete? That is just a crazy price. You couldn't diy a clone for that much without stealing most of the parts.. boggles the mind. If I was looking at entry level, those would be at the top of my list. I might just get a pair for the hell of it and see how they compare to my GR Insignia's.

I have a pair sitting on stands connected to an old Dayton 8" sub, and an old receiver. A 20 year old CD changer as the source. They do sound pretty darn good. At $40 they are an amazing steal IMO. I am going to get another pair to use with a Sure amp board as a portable system to use with my laptop streaming Pandora where ever needed.
 These would make a great gift as computer, TV, I-Pod, Cell, etc. speakers when paired with cheap little T amp

I went back after buying the speakers for 39 and found the matching sub for 69.
