Disclosures:
The woofer can lose control at high volumes, particularly with aggressive LFE from action or war movies. It appears the driver is either bottoming out or being over-driven - and you hear a rapid fluttering as the result. At the recommendation of the amp manufacturer, I have inspected the driver to see if it travels far enough to make contact with the back plane. It does not. The amp mfg believes the amp would not cause this issue but has provided the schematics in case I want to have the amp checked by a local repair shop. Note I do not believe I have ever heard the problem with music listening. I have been using this sub, with this issue, for a couple years. I simply cut the output by a few decibals in relation to the other speakers. At times, I have cut it as much as 10db. Most of the time, it is about -4 to -5 decibals. Also note, if you care about your neighbors, you likely will never hear this issue (i.e. you have to turn it up pretty loud - Reference loud - to experience the issue).
Also, the lowest part of the legs have suffered from having come in contact with moisture in the carpet it sat on:

Otherwise, the sub amp is dead quiet when idle or when playing. And the sub still delivers the tight musical bass I have enjoyed with music. I actually hate to part with it, but it's time to purshase something new that will allow me to push the volume back up to the reference levels the rest of the system is capable of.
Also up for sale are 5 Mirage Omnisat Micros - $295 (MSRP $900)

These are excellent sounding and in excellent condition - and ship in original manufacturers packaging (also excellent). These were used in my primary system for about a year and were meant to be used in a 2nd system. I have procrastinated long enough and will sell them instead of just sitting on them. Disclosure: These include a small bracket for wall mounting, however I am missing one of them.
