I recently picked up a Threshold S300 and bought it based on it's rep, little did I know it would turn out to be one of the best amps I've owned. I'm using a Conrad Johnson preamp and the synergy is wonderful, at least to my ears. I'm wondering if I used either a Pass or Threshold preamp what the result would be, will it be better or will it take me away from what I'm liking now....
I have to admit the CJ is a bit polite on drum attack etc. but the vocals, piano and cymbals are beautiful. If some one had a Pass or that lineage preamp they'd be willing to bring over to play that would be great. You can help me decide.
