This just transfixed me as a tween...but then I was a bit of an odd kid.D.D.
Got more? These are going on a hallway wall directly across from the guest restroom.
There are so many from which to choose - it would have to be a revolving door for me. I present this cover because of the interesting story behind it. A computer programmer, Barry Godber, who (IIRC) was a friend of Pete Sinfield's, presented this painting to the band on the day they were recording '21st Century Schizoid Man'. Greg Lake said that when Barry cut the strings and peeled away the protective paper, the whole band had a WOW moment. There it was: the 21st Century Schizoid Man! It was absolutely perfect. Barry suffered a heart attack and died shortly thereafter at the tender age of 23. There are no other known paintings by his hand, but this one perfectly captured that of which he could not possibly be aware...so, the story goes. Cool, eh?
This The Who cover is awesome, just paint it black and it is the 2001 monolith...
