The sound has changed quite a bit since I started using my HE5LE's.  Original owner said: "Very low hours" on them and I'm wondering if the drivers are still breaking in.

The amount of bass has increased significantly, and although the rest of the tonal signature hasn't changed a lot, it has smoothed out a bit. The most noticable thing is that to achieve the same level of volume, I now go to about 10 o'clock on my tube amp instead of all the way to 1 o'clock.  Hmmm.   Noticed the same thing when I had Fostex cans.

Yep...that's what I remember, I listen to mine sometimes through my ipod and Fiio E11 it lacks real power but it works fine if I needed to use it that way. I think they are OK..........I guess as long as the sound doesn't bother you its all good..

Naw, I just want it all in one setup and I'm finding I prefer certain phones
for certain types of music.  On some I prefer a more lush sound and others
a more neutral sound.  Better turn in my certified audiophile card
