Any thoughts on pairing a set of HT3s with AVA new Synergy 450 amp. Time for a new amp and looking for some thoughts. Budget under $2,500.00 Also if anyone has this combo thoughts are appreciated.

I am using Salk HT3s here as my main test speakers, often with a Synergy 450 amplifier.  It is an outstanding combination, a bit more laid back than with a Fet Valve hybrid amp, but really musical and natural sounding, and with plenty of power.

How would you describe "laid back?" Meaning less bass than the Fet. Would one of your older 550 be a better combo. I will be using a tube preamp with this set-up. I appreciate your thoughts / comments.
