Well, if I had the money, I would upgrade my set. What do you think? New Fet Valve pre and DAC and 600R and I would be happer then a pig in shit! But thats not going to happen but you know I am more then happy with my set as it is take a look.  As for my experience with Frank and his equipment. This is just one of many times Frank has taken care of us I could tell you the story but it takes too long, on how I did it, but I had to send my T-5 pre in to Frank to look at and fix. What do you know, early Sunday  but when I say early I mean early like 4-4:30AM  I get an Email, my T-5 is fixed and DON'T do that again .

That OmegaStar, while I'm sure it's a fine amp (especially if you do the Insight+ upgrade) is probably not in the same league as the hybrid amps. If it were me, I'd save my pennies and spring for a Synergy 450. It has the power the OP is looking for, is close (within 20-30%) to the sound of the Fet Valve stuff according to Frank, for much less coin. Just my 2 cents.

There is a local Craigslist posting for an AVA Fet Valve Ultra+ Double 550 for $1,500.00. He's had this listed (and re-listed) for several weeks, so you may be able to cut a deal on shipping. I'm not associated with this seller in any way; just a friendly heads up.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I just spoke with Frank about the Synergy 450 and that is an option and it is within my budget. I may hold out for a good deal on the Double 550.

I also spoke to him about the Omega with the upgrade and he thought it was a great value and would match up well with the HT3s. So I have several options and I make a decision probably with the next week or so.

Thanks for all who have responded and offer both advise and offers to purchase their amps. I have decided to go in another direction with a Spectron MKII amplifier with the hybrid upgrade and the remote sense cables in a package deal.
