Up for sale is my X250.5 amplifier (S/N 18165). Undoubtedly you’ve read the X.5 series reviews … the X250.5 is one of the best solid state amplifiers available under $10,000. A fully differentiated, balanced design that doubles down as the speaker’s load drops in half. 250 Watts into 8 Ohms (the first 15 class A) and 500 into 4 Ohms (the first 30 class A). Powerful bass control, pinpoint imaging, and a wonderful soundstage. This unit is in great shape (an 8 on the audiogon scale), just a few small marks on the top… perfect front, back, and sides. I love the Pass products and am staying with them… just selling to go with their integrated that fits more easily in my media cabinet. The amp is currently located in Boulder, CO. I’d be happy to host any auditions, or drive up to 3 hours away to deliver. You can even bring your amp to do a shootout (on my Thiel 2.4s)… I’m confident the Pass will win. Buyer pays shipping and any paypal fees. See my perfect Audiogon feedback under user cal3713.
Asking Price: $4095 [reduced to $3995... new retail $8250]. Thanks for looking.

http://hometheaterreview.com/pass-labs-x2505-stereo-amplifier-reviewed/"It's at this point that I get to throw myself upon the mercy of you, the reader, for I'm about to suggest that an amplifier such as the Pass Labs X250.5, at $8,250 retail, is not only a bargain but quite possibly the greatest high-end deal that can be had today. While I'm not suggesting that $8,250 is in any way inexpensive -it's not - compared to the competition, which I don't consider to be other $8,000 amplifiers, but instead ones costing tens of thousands more, the X250.5 is a steal."
http://www.10audio.com/pass_x250-5.htm"This amplifier made me seriously question the rightness of tube sound, which many listeners feel is truer to the sound of live instruments. Many times during the audition, I heard certain instruments – brass and percussion especially – that sounded exactly the way they do in concert. Long term listening is a continual pleasure. Night after night for hours at a time, I looked forward to every opportunity to hear my favorite music through the Pass Labs X250.5 amp. The frequency balance is perfect. No particular range, narrow or wide, stands out and screams “great bass”, or listen to this “transparent” treble. There is an integrated wholeness to the entire audible range that is very natural and easy to enjoy."
