Unbelievable
« on: 26 May 2012, 01:15 am »
I’ve got to share this experience. I have lost one screw and one rubber feet on my BP-26 remote controller (have no clue how it happened). I contacted James and asked if I could order one of each. I got a response within a few minutes (!) and was asked for shipping address. Two days later the package has arrived. Free of charge.
But that is not all. We are talking here about 4 screws and 4 little rubber feet that could have easily fit into an envelope. But Bryston has placed screws into one little plastic bag with part number marked on it, rubber feet into another little plastic bag with its part number, then both into one larger plastic bag marked as BP26 remote. This was then wrapped up in bubble wrap, taped, then placed together with lots of padding material into a quite large sturdy box (you could fit a pair of shoes in it) completely sealed up and taped over with large Bryston sticker. All this for 4 little screws and rubber pads.
Incidentally, on the same day I received a replacement for a product that shell not be named. Suffice to say, it was not an inexpensive component (~ MSRP $6000.00). Original one was physically damaged and turned out to be defective and had functionality problems, after a few days it eventually died. The replacement received was also damaged (full of scratches) although that was not due to shipping as the box was intact, and had died within a few hours in the same manner as the first one.
I am now looking at the Bryston box and the box that the other product arrived in, looking at Bryston components I have and this piece of (….) that has died again within few hours, and I cannot see how any comparison can be made, Bryston is on an altogether different level in every aspect.

Bryston's legendary customer service comes to the rescue again :thumb:

As far as I know there is no other audio company that can compete with Bryston when it comes to putting the customer first, thinking about it, any company really, not just audio.

Here is reminding me my experience with Bryston long time ago when I had more hair on my head.
Bryston used to make a custom electronic crossover with separate power supply.James should remember how many years ago was that.I had few questions about this item and I called Bryston and the person on the phone told me that the guy I should talk with is out for lunch and if I leave a number he will call me back.Well I left my number and I thought they won't call me and most likely I have to call back.
I was having my lunch that phone just rang in less then 15 min and it was from Bryston and that conversation went over 40min. :thumb:

How much easier it would be to get superbly performing speakers if this still was the case.

I do not believe this story.
Do you actually have photos of this condition to support??

There is nothing to be proven here, that was not the intent of the post. The manufacturer that delivered product in such state will remain unknown and the problem will be dealt with through the appropriate venue, not on a public forum.
