Hello GASers,

I stopped by Sound Room on Thursday to check out the new Sony 4K video projector. As you'd figure, the detail and depth of picture was out of this world! Apparently, yesterday was the only day they had access to show actual 4k content from Sony so I'm glad I stopped by. However, the upscaled 1080p was fantastic as well. If you enjoy your video toys even half as much as audio you should check it out. (Steve mentioned the AMC Theaters in STL are slated to get 4k upgrades sometime this year.) The projector costs a cool $25,000. Actually pretty competitive with other hi-end projectors when you consider the upscaling capability. Unfortunately, not competitive with my bank account at this time.

When you have lots of disposable income take a listen to the Bryston SP3. It will make you cry. It does no video processing ( just passes it through) but is just pure audio goodness. Best pre-pro I've heard with 2 channel , multi channel and surround.  If my wife would hurry up and finish being a student I would get one.
It is unfortuntely $9500 but that is only slightly more than the current Classe'.
