Doc Watson in critical condition

Doc Watson's not doing too well.

I've been dreading this day for a while now. I was introduced to his music in '68. Not much time goes by around here when I don't play one of his albums. This will be a tough one.

Some more news trickling in, apparently Doc fell in his home, and while being treated for those injuries they found he had colon cancer. Operated on the cancer, and he's now recovering in critical but stable condition.

Horrible news and which Doc a speedy recovery.  I first saw him in the early 70's at McCabes in Santa Monica and have been a fan ever since...

I have seen him live several times and been to 'his' guitar store in Boone, driven through his town.

Hope he recovers!

Saw him with Tommy Emmanuel in Fort Worth a couple of years ago.
Two of the best that ever was, ever is or ever will be.
