Diving back into computer audio (had modded SB3 5 years back that had too many glitches so went back to spinning CDs). Listen nearfield, room/setup ala Cardas and would like to use it from "the" listening chair that is located in the "sacred" position 10 feet from front wall. Obviously I don't want an obstruction in my soundstage. I currently have a computer that sits about 16 feet from front wall with 2.1 computer speakers, but I don't see how my current PC based 17" Viewsonic monitor would connect to a mini.
How big/brands/features should I shop for? (I've heard you want a TV to be "native" 1080p, refresh rates don't matter, Sony is the best, need minimum 50 inch.) My eyes are 20/25 and I can comfortably see my 19" work monitor from 4 feet away. I don't want a big/expensive screen, yet would like to work (with a "real" keyboard) from the listening chair.
Help!
