I have 5 amps I've yet to open......I know that when I do should the need arise I will be looked after.
Nobody touches the good folks at Bryston for how they treat us.

For a real nightmare......Try buying a T.V and have it go bad.
You will quickly find it to be loathsome.

Haven't they been in the box for something like THREE YEARS?!  (Dumbstruck).  Maybe I could borrow a pair for a few years?

Got it yesterday.
Connected in the evening and let it play for some hours. Switched off the 4Bsst2 on the faceplate button and went to sleep.

Tried to switch on in the morning and nothing happened!
Checked the back and the power button was off. Switched them on but the amp rattles and the button moves to the off position.

What should I do?

After repair, here I have the amps. There´s a continuous speakers´s hum when th 4bsst2 is on that was inexistent with Cyrus amplification, but doesn´t interfere when listening to music.

Beyond that, I think I´m not getting the full performance having the Brystons connected to the borrowed B&W 603S3. These can´t be more squeezed, so I bought today a pair of Magnepan 1.7 and a Rel T7.  :D

Both should arrive Monday!

You'll be extremely pleased with the amp (provided that you eventually get one that fully works), however the preamp is lacking.

I´ve had so much work this month that kept me from "playing" with my new toys.
While I wait for my 1.7 in off white fabric, the shop retailer contacted the importer who borrowed me a pair in black. (1)

First thing I noticed: with this speakers I don´t hear ground loop "hum".  :thumb:

Along these weeks I´ve been trying the 1.7 in several positions. Followed recommendations written in the manual and finally returned to a placement with them in the middle of the room.  :o
I´d like to have them nearer the front wall, but stage gets less deep, so I´ll keep them where they are.

For me, that never used a subwoofer, setting the REL T7 was a novelty. Did it by ear, as I don´t have any measurement device. When my 1.7 arrive, the retailer will deliver them personally at home and tune whatever could be improved. At that time, we will test some cables and DAC (2) .

I´m very satisfied with this audio equipment. Now I can listen for hours without being tired, which always happened with every systems I tried, most probably because of distortion associated with box speakers. The 4bsst2 does a great job, delivering high amount of current making the panels sing at huge volumes without loosing the correct timbre.

(1)  Both Magnepan´s portuguese importer and my specific shop retailer did a great job providing the possibility of trying speakers at home and, after that, borrowing a kit to play till the new ones I bought arrive (probably in February). How can I buy from somewhere else now?

(2) Although the shop retailer asked to Bryston portuguese importer for products to audition they said it´s not possible. So, in Portugal, we can only hear Bryston if we buy them   That way I´m afraid I´ll never get to the BDA...

What do you mean by "lacking"?

It's lacking two knobs marked "Bass" and "Treble".
