I hope you get them soon too.  I know how it can be hard to wait.

How long did you wait?

It took a good 3-4 weeks, maybe a bit longer....I will say my dealer waited to have it shipped from Bryston to him so he could consolidate orders.  Hope this helps.

That's reasonable, 3 or 4 months isn't for cheaper shipping.

Based in what´s written when I asked for a budget it would be 2 to 3 weeks, but I hadn´t got a confirmation.

If they are giving you time limits as part of the agreement written or not they should abide by it. Bryston have generally low dependable wait time ime so your dealer should pony up for shipping one piece if need be.

To me it all boils down to  respect. If it s going to take 3 months and he tells you then fine. It doesn't spoil the anticipation if it's spoken. But if he lies to you and he drags it out then it kinda spoils the anticapation (it's fun waiting for gear). That bugs me and I feel like I wish hadn't even bought the gear. That's bad.

I´ll keep calm till the dead line. Spent so many years thinking about what to buy that I don´t want to make this buy a stressful act.  8)

My biggest desire is the amps arrive with no malfunction at all. I´ll be mad if I´ll have to return them right away, but I´m convinced it´s going to be everything alright.

Don't worry about it. The 4B is a fabulous amp and you should be excited. Two weeks after expected delivery is nothing to.  I am pro dealer and if the dealer can use another two weeks thats nothing to worry about. I want these guys to stay in business. But again it's all about what they tell you and it taking 3 months.

Btw don't get to excited if your amp doesn't turn on right away. When I bought my 4B I couldnt get it running. I had to sit through supper griping about my amp.
As it turns out you have to get used to the first time you engage the power button and the turn on  button in the back. If you don't turn it on in the right order it won't fire up. Just giving you heads up. Its not broken but something to look out for.

Thank you James,

If Bryston´s post-sale service is very good according to users´ reviews, I must say that pre-sale it´s being equally good.
The dealer where I bought them deserves a positive note too. Very detailed and informative about Bryston products.
Congratulations!

Got it yesterday.
Connected in the evening and let it play for some hours. Switched off the 4Bsst2 on the faceplate button and went to sleep.

Tried to switch on in the morning and nothing happened!
Checked the back and the power button was off. Switched them on but the amp rattles and the button moves to the off position.

What should I do?

Make sure a speaker wire isn't shorting out.  Remove the speaker cables (and might as well remove interconnects from preamp also) and see if it exhibits the same behavior when powering on.

Disconnected all cables, but still rattles when powered on in the back and till automatically switches off.
Should it be a fuse?

I wouldn't think so, but I'm sure James Tanner will reply soon with the next step you should take.

Hi

Try unplugging the power cord from the wall
Then turn the rear panel circuit breaker on
Then plug the power cord back into the wall
Then use the front panel switch to turn on

If that does not work something is shorted

Did that. Didn´t work.
Do I have to return it? What a nightmare! I´m so far away from the dealer.
