One was designed for a clamp
the other was not

Why

so anyone try a clamp on a WTA with good or adverse resluts?

This subject has also been thoroughly covered here in the "which would you choose" thread. Bottom line.....both the designer of the WTA and the distributor do not recommend the use of any clamp on the WTA. It's simply a different animal as opposed to earlier designs. They've done the legwork for you. Forget the clamp and just enjoy the music.
