The Jensen paper in oil caps in my SLI 80 F1 have started leaking and need to be replaced. I'm looking for suggestions on what to replace them with.

Cary suggests going with Cardas caps. I've not heard anything about them, good or bad.

Metalized polypropylene of the proper voltage and capacitance will work perfectly and never leak.

Are you questioning the manufacturers advice? Just curious.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the Cardas caps. However, metalized polypropylene will work great- as I said before.

If someone doesn't feel like paying allot for a capacitor, it is good to know that alternatives exist which are safe and work perfectly.

Not questioning their advice at all. You just don't hear much about the Cardas caps compared to some of the others out there.
