EAT ECC88 Problem
« on: 5 May 2012, 12:39 pm »
I bought an EAT ECC88 to try in my Red Wine Audio Sig 15 and found that it wasn't a good fit. Pins went in OK but the tube was just balanced.

I checked with the store (no store name yet) and they suggested bending the pins to the tube to gain more traction while plugged in.

I did as suggested and the tube worked OK - untril the next day when it appears to be dead.

Should I be able to get a rebate?? Has anyone else had an issue with EAT tubes?

Thx in advance for any comments.

I'd contact the store right away and inquire about a refund/exchange. I have a few pairs, and never had any issues - they're great tubes.
