Originally I was going to have sides on these, but after listening to a mock up, I liked the simple board on top the best.

These are 21" X 12.5" X .75" solid oak, then spray painted with black gloss enamel.

Very nice Rob.

I took a few pics of mine as well (will try and post later tonight or tomorrow).  Mine are 12"x12" marble tile (for now).

Marbles,

Have you experimented with any decoupling devices under your center speaker?  When I was doing multi-channel speakers I found that moving the center speaker over the edge of the RPTV improved the sound, and that angling it down where the tweeters lined up (laser sighted to the listening position) with the main speakers, improved things immensely.   I dont think there would be a way to do that with that beast you have, but decoupling it from that big, mostly empty, cabinet you've got it set on    might provide benefits.

Thanks guys, I tried to make them look as close to "FACTORY" as I could.

I really like them out 4".  Anything more than that seems to receed the mids and highs too much, less than that doesn't have much effect on the midbass.  4" doesn't seem to effect anything but giving me slightly more midbass and that nice "full" sound.
As always YMMV.

John, I have not tried that.  The back of the speaker is on a stack of books to angle the speaker towards my main listening position, and the front is just behind a slight lip on the top of the TV.  It is this lip keeping the speaker from sliding off  :o

Decoupling sounds like a great idea.  What do you recommend I do it with?

What I used was sorbathane, you'd need quite a chunk of it though, considering the weight of that speaker.   I'll see if I can contact the guy who made  mine up for me, see what he'd recommend for your situation.

Marbles, you could try Steve of Herbies Audio Lab to see what he's got for something heavy. He seems to have been adding a few more weight ranges for his Tenderfooter line. I've not been by his site recently, nor do I know how much your center weighs so I can't say exactly what'd work for you.
