Yep Tonto, kyyuan and Smeggy got it pretty much right as far as I know.
We don't make zero gravity chairs and it's not an industry-wide chair design that all are familiar with. Given the shape, it pretty much precludes any type of zero gravity chair from being portable...and that's what we make.
It is also more costly due to the specific subframe and shape involved.
It is really comfy tho,; I've sat in them many times. I've not sat in the $1300-1500 jobber here, but it looks darn nice. The $139-179 Lafuma is great, too. There is no applicable patent on this design, so it's just a matter of time when you see lightweight ones for $50. I've been offered nice, inexpensive Chinese designed ones many times, but have passed. It's just not our market.
kyyuan, a few months in that chair, and you may have the same type of fat, stupid and lazy ass that us chair professionals dream of. But, we are pros and it's called R & D: laymen, please be extremely careful.
