What is involved in assembling a kit?  I am pretty handy with tools, but not so with soldering.

The cabinets are pre-built and shipped hollow; you simply screw the drivers into them.

There's a decent amount of soldering involved.  You may want to get some practice stripping wires and soldering a small electronics kit together before you attempt a VMPS kit.  Soldering is not difficult, but you wouldn't want to use your speakers as a learning experience.  One "cold" solder joint and your speakers might sound bad.  Do a Google search on "how to solder" for some pointers.

I already had soldering experience when I assembled my VMPS kit.  I found the experience very rewarding.
