I just recently purchased a Logitech Harmony universal remote control to control the components in my 2-channel setup. To get it to control my Rega Apollo CDP, it was no sweat - the device was found in the online Logitech library and it works fine. I did find the Bryston BP-6 preamplifer in the Logitech library, as well, and programmed that; however, it doesn't work to control the volume and mute functions - in fact, these don't even appear in the menu.
I've sent an email to Mike Pickett requesting the hex codes for the BP-6, as that is what Logitech Support has requested me to provide to them.
I've seen a number of others run into the same problem with setting up there remotes with various Bryston products. I'm thinking there could be a couple ways to make things easier for Bryston product owners:
1) Ensure that Logitech has the latest hex codes for all remote controlled Bryston products or;
2) Include a page on the Bryston website, under support, that includes a list of all remote controlled Bryston products, along with the corresponding hex codes.
I'd think #2 would be quite easily done, as there are not that many Bryston models that are remote controlled and I would think the codes would never change, once prescribed.
