I have an old S-2000 AM/FM tuner with no functioning FM.
It's in beautiful cosmetic condition.
Has anyone heard this unit compared to the later FM-only Sherwoods?  I'm debating as to getting it fixed or putting it back onto eBay from whence it came and going for another of the S-3000 series.

I have not heard that particular tuner but I believe the Sherwoods were modular, i.e. you would get the same FM section in a contemporary 3000 as in the AM/FM 2000.  Of the 3000 series, I really prefer the 3000-V for the real tuning meter as opposed to the "magic eye."
