Jake,

Totally understand and for years i have also avoided Facebook and Twitter. Have received MANY requests to join them and felt the time was right to launch Enjoy the Music.com's social media networks. This simply augments the Android app and Windows Phone 7 app that many have already installed on their mobile devices. Apple has been... said kindly.... challenging to get an app approved (frankly i feel they hate me). My goal is to make it fun and easy to see the many updates to Enjoy the Music.com, which as it stands now is over 5,300 web pages(!). So between the normal homepage icon/highlights, two mobile apps, the custom Internet browser and now Facebook and Twitter... it is very easy for you to see our site updates.

BTW, other changes you may have noticed recently is that the site is now fully compatible with all normal mobile devices. Am especially proud of the (still continuing) hard work done to make the site very smooth and easy for tablet users. All the while am ensuring efficient use of bandwidth for fast page loading as i realize not everyone has 40MB down and 8MB upload speeds at home or with a 4G LTE mobile devices. So those still on the slow 3G or public (slow) WiFi still enjoy fast page loading and browsing.

Steve,

I read the entire article last night on my Ipad (Reader mode) without a hitch. It was also smooth and easy to navigate around the ETM site.

Thanks again for your e-zine. It provides an outlet for us audiophools.

Best,
Anand.

Anand,

MANY thanks for your input, i truly do listen and appreciate both the good and constructive comments for improvement. Just to give you guys and gals what i do testing the site with...

Normal large screen TV (DLNA, etc of course)
Laptop using Windows OS
Apple iTouch 64GB
Samsung Galaxy Note
Samsung Tab 7.0 Plus
HTC Jetstream
Buying an iPad this weekend.

It is always interesting to see the rendering and color differences between devices and browsers. Of course no matter how much testing is done, sometimes things slip by. So thanks again for your compliment and glad the site is easy to navigate and works smoothly for you. Am still updating some of the 'legacy' pages dating back to 2005 and earlier, so greatly appreciate your patience as i hand recode the older pages to conform to the new layout scheme. Has to be done by hand, can't use automated coding changes script :(

Of course in the end what REALLY matters is that YOU....

Enjoy the Music,

Steven R. Rochlin

Thanks SteveFord. I was already about seven links trying to find the darn thing when I decided to have a look at the rest of the thread. Steve Rochlin, in future please post a directly accessible link.

Same here. I can't see any reason to join any social network and resent all the pushes toward joining.

Sure, and yes no worries.

As for Bob's new design, think i'll have to have a talk with Bob because Dick Olsher is having all the fun.

Back in the 80s Carver and Stereophile had a debate in which Carver said said he could tweek any solid state amp (of his mfg) to sound like a tube amp. They eventually had an demonstration, and as far as I remember, Carver pretty much proved his point. So 25 years later he comes out with a high end tube unit. I wonder if it sounds like his solid state amps.

Steve, you'll like these amps, because they can drive Magnepans or Logans!

No doubt but my mortgage company is owned by Ming the Merciless and the only way to keep his evil minions at bay is to shovel mounds of cash at him.

I've not heard anyone say anything even slightly negative about these amps so I think the Bobfather has come up with a winning design.
It's good to see him doing what he wants to do in his "retirement".
P.S.
I stand corrected, Rodney has the earlier "Root Beer" monoblocks, not the current Cherry ones.
