A few months ago I dusted off a pair of Chorus. I found a website and learned of BEC upgrades. Since that time I have definitely caught a case of audiophiliosis. But one of the problems faced by a novice is working your way through the various nomenclature Here's my question: is there a resource that lists gear by brand, type, and year it was introduced? I guess I am looking for an audiophile's encyclopedia. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tell ya, that would be a great coffee table book (especially with photos)! I'd purchase a copy.

The Audiogon Bluebook and the Orion Bluebook both list equipment by brand, model and years of production as well as current going rate.  Unfortunately, you have to pay for either one.
