Hi Craig,
This is what I ended up with. I did not use the sealed box that we originally discussed, as after I received the drivers and reviewed my calculations, a ported design looked to be more optimal.
The end result could not be better, the client is a major international disk jockey and producer and he is delighted with the results. The room was built around the speakers, so as far as I am concerned it this is one of the best sounding setups in the world today. Getting non-horn loaded designs to exhibit the kind of SPL that’s needed for dance music producers is the ticket. The speakers easily exhibit 120 DB of aural suicide clean and punchy, but these levels are what’s expected. (BTW the TC drivers love that Bryston 14B!!)
Please feel free to visit the studio anytime you’re on the right coast. I expect a lot of publicity this year.
