It looks like Neal is putting his money where his mouth is.
Good for him, hopefully good for everybody.

Yeah, I look forward to seeing (hearing) where this goes.  Here's an earlier discussion http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=105137.0

Have fun,

Jerry

Acc'd to published reports (I think it was WSJ), he is introducing a file delivery system for redbook and hi-res. Not new file formats for music.

Neil has been my favorite artist since Buffalo Springfield and one of the artists that I tune my system too. I have his blu-ray collection of music. It's brilliant. Often when I give it a play, there's more content to download. He pioneered that idea yet I don't see many others following along. Maybe sales aren't that good?

Neil bought a ranch I believe in 1969-1970 a few miles from where I work. He still lives there. Amazes me.
Oh ya, it came with an "Old Man".  8)

This is something I'll be keeping my eye out on.  :o

No offense, Steve, but it's "Neil" not "Neal".

Being discussed in many threads here..

The articles about his download service are a little confusing.  There is some speculation that the formats will be new (i.e compressed like FLAC, but compatible with non-FLAC players???  Dunno...).   Intro'ing a new format is a slippery slope.  We do not need new formats, we need standards and some traction.

I stand corrected, my apologies to Mr. Young.
This must be what had Ms. Manley so excited about the future of recorded music; I hope it pans out.
