Thanks for posting this, I just checked both of my MACs and they were clear.

Yeah, i thought the same.

Since there is a good number of mac users, we can't think the same forever. Virus creators can take advantage of computers with no protection.

If you just make sure you're aware of what you're installing in your computer, you can't really be harmed on a Mac. You have to actually install this stuff.

This virus exploited a hole in java to install itself. One had to visit specific sites, with java turned on in the browser (and maybe browser specific. Apple 1st issued a patch, and now an eradicator.

Intial estimates of those affected was revised downward to <300k.

We mac users need to be wary.

For the first time, I download the free Sophos mac antivirus.  Conducted a sweep....it is clear.  As long as your mac is well patched and has the latest OS...it should be good to go.  In consideration, a Mac is still much less likely to get hit with anything terrible vs a Windows OSed machine, so, 1 botnet, next.  This was just a matter of time.
