I recently acquired a HRX Dual Motor Rim Drive and converted my standard Scoutmaster into a Super Scoutmaster. I was able to order the SSM chassis from VPI and then swapped the hardware from my Scoutmaster to SSM chassis.
I built a maple platform using a 3" thick cutting board sourced from Dawns. I then installed some 1.5" inch cones sourced from Soundocity. The platform is level and rock solid.
Really enjoying the improvement with the Rim Drive. Quieter backgrounds, deeper and much tighter bass.
