First I hear of it but sounds promising...

I always thought it a bit odd that for someone whose sound is so garagey and fuzz-filled Neil would care so much about sound quality. I guess he wants that distortion to sound just right...

Good for him for fighting the good (audiophile) fight! I look forward to hearing more about his hi-rez format.

My thoughts exactly.  The better my system gets the worse old Neil Young sounds. I hope he remembers I don't need him around.

Although I would appreciate a better digital format for other artists.

the last thing we need is ANOTHER format to argue about.  ugh.

it's not so much about needing more resolution, we just need more care in making the recordings.
even 16.44 sounds pretty darn good if recorded and mastered with care.

I'm interested to see where this goes integration wise and, ultimately, how it sounds.

I have never taken Neil as a marketing kind of guy. He just might be on to something that is a game changer.

Awaiting the outcome,

Jerry

I agree.  I guess I really don't want "another" digital format.  I just want one good standard.  For many years 16/44.1 was the standard and some excellent CDs were produced. And some junk too--not the fault of the format.

I used to work for state and federal agencies and the alphabet soup they use does not compare to the digital format choices. Give me one grand champion, king-of-the-hill---please.
