I already posted a picture of my Rega P3-24 with a custom base but finally got it running.  The results are pretty amazing.  I would never have guessed that this plinth could make such a difference but it certainly does.  The base weighs in at around 60 lbs and as a result the bass is much more extended.  I've been rediscovering several of my old LPs...what fun.  I've also added an Akai reel to reel deck having custom side panels made for it.  Very cool.  The only thing I've listened to so far is a tape that came with it where some good old boy recorded several albums at 3-3/4 so the sound is just so so but will be recording some of my LPs at 7-1/2...stay tuned.  I have also added a Naim music server along with a NAS drive on my network.  There are 4000 FLAC albums on the server so it's been pretty overwhelming but what a gas.  I have ripped my entire collection of 1200 +/- cds...added to the 2800 that came with the drive compliments of my dealer.  A lot of the stuff that he had ripped isn't my taste necessarily but it's been a hoot auditioning them as time permits.  Anyway here are some pix for your enlightenment.  Hope you like what I've done here...

That would be the doggie of "his master's voice" fame and yes, all MAC whether good or bad.  I must say that MAC mates well with my VSA speakers.

Which Naim unit did you buy? Are you using a Mac DAC?

I use it in conjunction with a 3TB NAS drive on my network.  The output from the UnitiServe is a digital coax that is input to my MCD500.  The MCD500 has extremely good DACs and the sound via the Naim server is identical to the cd palyer, if not better, thru the 500.  I control it via an iPad with the Naim remote app.

That is definitely one of the best looking setups I've ever seen. As far as audio quality goes,  although the Unifield 2's I possess sound great, I can only imagine, in some audiophile heaven, what your system sounds like!

Hi Henry..

Thanks for the kind words.  I got the Akai on eBay.  It's in excellent condition and I had a local luthier fabricate and paint the side panels.
