F/S Grant Fidelity B-283 tube buffer - Sold!
« on: 27 Mar 2012, 09:33 pm »

I'm selling a Grant Fidelity B-283 tube buffer for a friend who isn't an audiophile and don't frequent audio forums.  He bought the GF new as an experiment to see if he would like the sound of tubes in his solid state audio system.  He liked it so much he ended up buying a tube preamp and DAC so no longer needs the tube buffer.  It has very light usage and is in excellent condition.  The buffer takes two 6J1 or 6AK5/5654/EF95/403B equivalent tubes.  I am including two Raytheon 5654s for tube rolling.  Original price for the buffer and the Raytheons were $170.  Selling price is $90, which includes paypal fees and shipping to the 48 lower states.   :o  Other places send me a PM and I will calculate the slightly higher postage.  Thanks for looking.  Paul

I just bought one of these recently and can attest to the fact that both the build quality and sound quality are fantastic for the money. For the asking price, this is a great way to get into tubes and/or to take a solid state rig and add in some tube characteristics for dirt cheap.
