Changing systems as often as I change socks

Just bailed on the class D and digital stuff.  Sold the W4S st500 and picked up a Rogue Tempest lll.  Since I sold the Von Schweikert VR33s I've also bought and sold a pair of Totem Mani 2 Signatures.

The Harbeth 7es-3s showed up today. They sound sweet. Thinking of pairing with the Wayne Taylor stands from St. louis Stereo.

Nice to be back to tubes.  I need to get rid of the Bel Canto DAC 2.5 I got from Wylie. It's a great unit, and I actually used it as a preamp too!  You can hook up pretty much anything to it, even analog.

Hope everyone's doing well -

Kirch

If you have the resources to rotate through equipment until you find something you can't part with, why not? If that's what you're saying. If you mean to confess that you only change your socks twice a year, then I see a potential for social discord.

Even if I was interested in hearing a lot of different equipment, I'm too damn lazy to switch it all in and out myself. Maybe I need a hired hand.

I'm a bit of an equipment switcher myself. Actually only been changing amplification for the last few years. The last amp I bought and the resold was 68 pounds of amp. Think I'll stick with the integrated amp that replaced it for a while.
I also departed from class D amps a couple years ago. In hindsight, they can sound very good, just a bit boring.

As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.

If you get the chance and you feel so inclined, try your Compact 7's with a great class A SS amp,
you might like it!

Hiya Kirch,

I'd be tempted to try those with the little Leben CS-600 integrated. Better yet, mate it to some of Mike's Devore floor standers. I'd bet that make a darned nice pairing. That could be the end of the road for a lot of people.
