Hi Guys

Haven't posted in awhile, just curious if anyone else has experienced the LCD display on their BCD-1 fading or acting erratically, mine just started to do this when coming out of standby. Part of the display will partially illuminate or not at all, appears to return back to normal after a few minutes while playing but changing discs will also cause the problem.
Unplugging the unit to do a reset does not alleviate the problem, bought her new July 31/08 so she'll be off to Bryston.

My display did the same thing. My unit was out of warranty and Bryston fixed it no charge. Great customer service!

Mine has been great since day one :thumb:..
I do leave all my components on 24/7,only thing I have on standby are my amps.

Two years and no problem so far. I do turn off after a session. :thumb:

OK looks like I'm not the first, I believe the warranty is 5 years on electronics and 3 years on the drive so I'm ok there, but Bryston have a tendency to turn a blind eye to things like warranty periods.

Mine is being replaced for the third time.
Last problem was that some strange (nonsense) vertical lines appeared on the left side of display.
The CDP functioned and sounded perfectly though.
Warranty was recognised every time.   :D

Finally had time to ship mine up to Bryston, forgot to ask Mike if they are currently using a different display, besides the cost of shipping and insurance hate to think it may go again.

My display also went and the unit was out of warranty. I sent the unit off to Bryston and it was fixed no charge. Bryston has the best customer service.
I suspect my BDC-1 won't see that much service now that I have a BDP-1.

Not here. The cd player is used daily but no dislpay issues after two years. :thumb:
