What amps (and other products) are Bryston showcasing with Axiom speakers?

Specifically, what Bryston amps are paired with Axiom's new active DSP, Omnidirectional Linear Field Radiating (OLFR) speakers?  I understand that four matched channels are required - so is this a pair of 4B's, 4 X 7B, 4 X 28B or perhaps four channels on a 9B?

I wish I could be at this event but alas not.  Axiom and Bryston hookup should be very interesting to say the least.  These new ones from Axiom are the ones I want to hear with a Bryston amp.

Secrets Of Home Theater

I was happy to run into James Tanner and his Model-T, well ok, not his car but a new prototype speaker James has been developing with Axiom. Born from James’ personal interest, the large speaker can be tri-amplified and Bryston designed an outboard crossover that will ultimately be run by an app on your device. The Model-T (for Tanner) is still under development.

Just back home from Montreal and here is all the pictures from Bryston Axiom room. :thumb:
The first picture is the prototype model T that James is working on it right now and I think that what I saw from up close is going to be a very promising system.Model T on both ends,DSP in center and a pair of 6BSST2 on each side.

And here is the rest of the Bryston,Axiom room.

Hi James,

Congrats, looking very very nice indeed.

Would this phrase be correct: "The projected price, including the BDX-1 digital crossover, is $10k/pair." Since i'm in the market for replacing my ESl 63 in the near future, this would certainly be worth the wait...

Thanks,
Marius

How similar is it to the new Axiom speaker,
http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/press/home-theater-news/new-axiom-loudspeaker-debuting-at-salon-son-et-image-in-montreal-this-week

And are they at Montreal?

Hi JRace

Totally different - the Model T is a standard forward radiating sealed box 3-way fully active system.  No rear drivers and no passive crossovers.

So James, the speakers will be released to the public in the future?

Pictures are great and so is the coverage but my big question is: How do they sound? :drums:

What were the visitors perceptions / feedback?  Was there a preference for the Model T in it's current form over the new Axiom Omni?

I see the Model T with DSP/cross-over and 6B-SST2 amps but what was the source - BDP with BDA?

Hi Soundgame - I was not playing the Model T's. I was just showing that they are not a figment of my imagination.

So they were empty boxes...eh?  LOL!

Thanks James.  Can't blame a guy for hoping to get a report on them.

I'm just hoping you'll have them working and demo going for TAVES in the Fall...so I can get a ear full.
