Has anybody tried to make a Stereo tube amp into a mono block amp?
If you want to convert a stereo tube or even a SS power amp to 2 monoblocks, the less money-costing & time consumoing way WITHOUT rebuilding 2 amps is to add another power supply, identical to the existing PS shared by the 2 channel for one channel.
Make sure to rewire the electrical ground & signal reference ground so that each channel gets its own SEPARATE groundings.
Yes, it will sound better particularly at high volumes.
