ATS acoustic panels effectiveness question
« on: 12 Mar 2012, 03:43 pm »
hi ,
does any one know, would there be a reduced effectiveness of ATS acoustics panels when they are wrap over with oil painting? I can get some really nice oil painting of my favorite pic for a reasonable price and i was thinking to wrap them over some ATS acoustic panel to make them look like art panels.
I'm not sure if that would cause weakness of the effectiveness of the panels though.
Thank you.

I'll let the experts verify but I would think you would be blocking/negating most of properties of the panel depending on the frequencies.

The process most seem to use is dye sublimation printing to the material thereby leaving the ability for the sound to still propagate through the material.
