Stock 103 is not the same as the DL-103R (usually $379), which is what the anniv. cart is based on.
PM me if you'd like an anniv. cart with almost no hours on it. I've got two, hate to see you miss out!
103R has six nines copper coils, an impedance of 14 ohms (the different coils result in the lower impedance), an output of .25 mV (again because of the different coils) and a gold coloured yoke.
103 has impedance of 40 ohms, an output of .3 mV and a silver coloured yoke.
Anniversary Cartridge has no six nines coils and an impedance of 40 ohms, an output of .3 mV and a silver coloured yoke.
At no time did Denon ever make any claims in any promotional material that the Anniversary cartridge was based on the 103R.
People can draw their own conclusions but the logical one would be that the Anniversary is based on the stock 103 and not the 103R. A 103 in a see through plastic body that weighs .2 grams more than a 103.
