This is a fully current and upgraded pair of M60's in excellent condition. They were upgraded by Atma-Sphere to full 3.1 status in January 2010 and carry one more year of the Atma-Sphere warranty extension to 2013. Serial numbers are #333.

This pair has TFTF V-Caps and PowerBoost options, no Caddock option. I am including a precision matched set of Russian output tubes, as well as a full spare set of generic ones that came with the amp. These tubes were carefully matched and burned in by an expert using a Transcendent Sound Tube Analyzer. The quads of 6SN7's will be a mix of Chinese tubes that Atma-Sphere uses and a couple of RCA's and Sylvania's allowing you to roll to taste in the 4 positions.

At my asking price I will also include the Speltz Zero autoformers shown in the pictures. They are a nice option with these amps if you intend to try different speakers and they are completely transparent.

I constructed 2 re-usable crates to ship these safely and the tubes will be carefully packed in a third box.

$3150 plus shipping and Paypal fees.

Email or PM me with any questions and thanks for looking.

Tom

Pat,

I have zero knowledge personally of the Proac D38's (they must be really nice!), but from the specs they seem to be fairly efficient at 91+db. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms so if using the M60's I'd strongly recommend the Zero transformers. Without them it might be a tough load. I searched for impedance curves on some of the reviews to no avail, but that usually determines whether the match will work. Generally you want the impedance curve to be fairly flat. Marc Michelson used Atma-Sphere MA-2's in his Soundstage review, but that seems like overkill to me. At a glance it seems like it would work.

Which pre?  In general, no, you're fine.  This pre was made by a tube company which sells tube pre's only.

I have always used tube preamps with the M60's. You'll hear whatever the preamp is doing through them, good or bad in terms of tube-ness. Taken by themselves they are very neutral.

Very very nice.  Should be a great pairing IMO.  The good news is that at this price you can't go wrong IMO.   :D

This is a great deal!  I own the same amps and love them.  I've purchased from Tom before and he is a good seller -- fair, responsible, and easy to deal with.  These are wonderful amps and the included autoformers are a real bonus.
