FS: Leben CS300X Integrated SOLD
« on: 1 Mar 2012, 08:18 pm »
SOLDI'm reluctantly offering my Leben CS300X integrated for sale--this is the original limited production version that comes with NOS Mullard tubes as stock.  I purchased this little beauty in January from great fellow AC'er Jim Rebman; I understand that this amp is the unit that reviewer Jeff Day personally owned.  It is in immaculate condition and I have the original box & manual.  It sounds & looks fabulous, and its headphone output driving my Audeze LCD-2's is just stunning.  However, I can't justify keeping this as a headphone only amp, and it needs to be in somebody's system that is going to enjoy it daily!

This is the US voltage version.

I'm offering this for sale for $2,850, inclusive of paypal fees and shipping (CONUS only please), considerably less than what I just paid, but I need to move the amp to fund other audio adventures!

Thanks,

Randy

Jeff,

Possibly; I will be looking to replace it with a ss integrated of some sort that can serve as an alternative to my 845 SET amp, and also that can be used to drive my headphones. But I'm looking primarily for cash.

Thanks,

Randy

P.S. Things going well.  I'm rich in every aspect except money.  Time permitting, I'll try to check in with you in a few weeks to see how your search for audio nirvana is going.

Actually, I have something similar - an EL84 P/P integrated from Cyrus Brenneman, the Stereo 30.  It has nice looks, but nothing to compare to the fit-&-finish of the Leben.  However, it does produce 15W of sweet, sweet sound.  No headphone jack, though.  Brenneman amps are very, very underrated IMNSHO.

Still, I am curious to hear the Leben at some point.  I think I corresponded with Jeff D. a while back around the time he was selling his/your 300X.  Bet it is a winner.

Best of luck with the sale.....not that I expect you'll need it.

All pm's and emails replied to.

I will edit the ad above, as a few have asked--this is the US voltage unit.

Thanks,

Randy

Asking price lowered per original post.

Tone Imports (.com) has a nice review and the best description I've found of the upgrades that make this model a 'limited edition'.

Thanks,

Randy

Hi Randy,

Congrats on selling the amp -- I know it was not easy to part with :-).

And yes, I did try to figure out how I could get it back, but that would have meant selling the amp I kept -- which of course I kept for a reason :-).

Hey Jim,

It is indeed a sweet amp; if I listened to headphones just a bit more, no way I'd part with it!  The buyer has owned the less expensive version and is very excited to give it a try, so I think its going to a good home  :D.

Hope things are great out your way,

Randy
