A documentary about a guy with brain damage, recovering, and playing with dolls and dreaming about cross dressing. Seems absurd. But the images, the detail, the sheer intensity of his creations are amazing.
If ever there was a case to be made for separating the artist from the art, this is it. His work is astonishing. He as a person, not so much. I wonder, while watching, how can such a seeming quotidian dude produce such incredibly forceful images? But he does, and I'm glad I spent 82 minutes of my life streaming it on Netflix.
