Just a thought about Digital amps:
Think how long it took solid state to get it right, and it still has monumental problems at times; think about how incrementally tube amps have changed and refined.
Now think how quickly digital amps have come already. I sense there's a surge of product and development coming that may well make solid state superfluous.
Now think about computers/VCRs/DVD players, think about how quickly prices dropped and tech advanced. If that happens here, we may all one day be able to afford the very best or very nearly.
I am happy thinking these thoughts.
