WinXP to projector via wireless?
« on: 28 Feb 2012, 01:35 am »
Projector: 1080P, HDMI input available, about 35' from computer
HT receiver for audio only: no HDMI, coax and optical digital audio inputs
Computer: Windows XP desktop, only video output is a card with two S-video and one apparent serial output for video control function.  No digital audio output.  Three open slots (if the current video card described above is useless, as it appears to be, that makes 4 open slots).

Goal is to route HD videos (up to 1080P if such exist online) and digital audio from computer to projector and HT receiver.  At the very least I apparently need need two computer cards: video output, digital audio output.  Make/model/purchase source?

1st choice: replay 2011 season NFC Championship game, invert win/loss outcome er, rather, wireless HD video feed, advise make/model/source to buy.  Coax digital audio feed.

2nd choice: I could hard wire the video feed but lots more hassle.  Worth it?

Any advice appreciated.  Bob, are you home?

Well crap James....I was hoping someone smart (...er that me) would have answered by now.
But no, I know of no way to get HD to your PJ without some wires.

"Worth it",......yea. To me it is. I've begun the next phase of my system with includes a small "mini" PC in my rack of A/V equipment that will include all HDMI capable equipment to get HD video to the PJ.

But wireless? I have no idea, sorry man.

I'll contact New Egg and pass along a wireless solution if one exists.
