Loved the Classic.  What's yours sitting on?
Just remember, and this will be my final mention of it, scouts honor (not that scout) when the Classic was introduced under the aegis of the master engineer Mr F, there was no such thing as a black damped platter. That came later when the evil empire took it over...

Two sections of large wood shelving with four sorbothane risers inbetween the boards - same thing the square motor one is sitting on.
They're easy enough to make with a saw, dab of glue and some black spray paint; if you'd like, I can see if my buddy is still making the risers.

I'm on a Target wall shelf with the early Amadeus isolation board.
In my old house it's what works.
And no more maple underneath ( sorry, Pierre) not good for a WTL.
