This DAC had some good buzz here a while back. I bought it last year from another member and it is indeed a very good DAC for the $.
It is very well made, and offers a real improvement over the dacs in most players, even quite good ones, at very low cost.
Has coax and optical inputs.
Smooth and detailed, very non-digital.
Here are the mods:
AD1852 Dac chip.
Upgraded the center op-amp to a LM4562.
Upgraded the 2 flanking op-amps to the OPA2107. This has added to the resolution & extension.
Bypassing the 4 electrolytic coupling caps which substantially improved the sound.
These were done based on the recs of member Occam.
Very good condition- just a few "rub marks" on the paint on top, includes manual- in Chinese.
I will include a $60 retail Monster Cable Lightspeed 200 toslink cable if desired at no cost.
Shipping should be about $15 in the US. Local pickup in Seattle ok too.
This DAC is very hard to beat for this price.
