Curious. I have a pair of Salk HT3s and listen only to 2 channel. A friend has a pair of Ridge Street Sason that he is selling and I am curious if trading or selling the Salk + a small amount of cash would be worth it.

I can't listen to the Sason and at this point I am interested in hearing anyone's opinion. I love the HT3 and wouldn't normally consider selling them and probably won't because of the hassle but just curious.

Both are great speakers, so what would you want the Sason speakers to improve on when compared to the HT3's? 

Why can't you hear the Sason speakers before doing a deal?

Not a good idea to trade with a friend

Best to insist on at least a week playing these speakers in your system

Don't fall for the grass is always greener syndrome especially when dealing with a neutral speaker like the Salks

I am on the east coast he is on the west coast. I actually purchase the HT3s from him when he lived nearby. I trust his ears and he sold me on the Salks. He believes that the Sasons are one of the best speakers he has heard after owning the HT3s and some others.

As stated I was just curious and the shipping expense probably doesn't make sense.

Sorry I may be biased here
I've heard both of these wonderfull speakers in different rooms
I own one of them and for my ears I believe you can't go wrong with either but i do like one of them more especially if you are a midrange hound

Stick with your HT3s  your friend is just trading out yet another pair of speakers.  Unless you are also looking for a new flavor of the week...  if not, be glad for what you've got and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. Just for clarification. My friend does not want to trade for the HT3s as he has already owned the pair I had. I was curious if you could trade for the Sasons over the Salks would you. I would have to sell the HT3s and purchase his.

As stated I was curious but buying the Sasons would be difficult at best. I am pretty content with the HT3s.

Right now I am feeding the HT3s with Monarchy SE-250 mono blocks which replaced W4S SX-1000 monos which replaced a LSA Signature Integrated amp. I liked the LSA the best but it did not have enough power.
