The Operetta is a 5 channel model that has 2 transformers for greater separation of left/right. It is very clean sounding, well built beast of an amp at 55 pounds.

If you were thinking of going from a receiver to separates for home theater, this is great piece for that, especially at this price.

I have the Jaton RC2000S pre-amp (bought from John Casler here at AC) that is cut from the same cloth: superior parts quality, neutral sound, great value.

Wonder how they squeezed 70 watts from chips? (I own Channel Island Audio VMB-1 chip monoblocks and thought 40 watts was about the limit.)

This is a great deal.  I running the Jaton 2-channel version with a Jaton preamp and it's a great match with my Gallo Stradas.
