Next, While you all are busy "demonizing" the recording industry, you certainly have all the music to listen to, thanks to them. And many people have downloaded music illegally. well first off i don't steal my music. doesn't change the fact they charge too much,and if they hadn't ripped people off for so long maybe it would not be such a problem.they let the cat out of the bag with digital as they couldn't see the writing on the wall,in their infanite greed. i'm sure it's mostly young people that get it for free
Blame the artists, not the recording industry. A majority of music on "Billboards top 100" list for the last 5 years has been awful. They just take cuts from older songs and add some "uh huh, yea" lyrics and swear words.
First, the recording industry did not come up with the CD. Sony and Philips did. People embraced the CD and threw their records away, lured by the "convenience" and small size of the music format.
